Tickets can be purchased to ascend by stairs or lift (elevator) to the first and second levels. Although there are stairs to the third and highest level, these are usually closed to the public and it is generally only accessible by lift. Visitors can climb up stairs to the first two levels or take a lift which also has access to the third and highest level.
You couldn't possibly visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. Even if you do not want to visit this world famous structure, you will see its top from all over Paris.
